Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Lucas@TulsaEnvironmental.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Gorton & Associates provides practical, non-stamped support that keeps projects moving and protects capital. Our team delivers environmental impact assessments, ecological restoration planning, wetland delineations, site inspections, and sustainability consulting. We pair that with ongoing site monitoring, erosion control checks, and SWPPP post-storm inspections so contractors stay on task and regulators stay confident. To document progress for lenders and owners, we maintain baseline photo logs, progressive site photography, and drone imagery, with clear, time-stamped reports that reduce disputes and change orders.

We also take on the coordination work that often slows projects. Our staff tracks permits, communicates with agencies, supports utility coordination to avoid conflicts, and organizes as-built documentation and photo verification at closeout. As an independent third party, we provide compliance reviews and act as the owner’s representative to confirm that environmental requirements are followed in the field. When a stamped plan or survey is needed, we bring in a trusted local PE or PLS and manage the handoff so you benefit from local knowledge and faster approvals. The result is straightforward risk mitigation for developers and investors, with fewer surprises, fewer fines, and a clearer path from entitlement to completion.

Our focus is on providing land development and environmental services that do not require a licensed engineering stamp. Many important project steps — such as wetland delineations, environmental assessments, permitting support, and survey coordination — can be completed without a PE. This keeps costs manageable while ensuring our clients receive fast, high-quality service.

When a project does require engineering approval, we believe it is in the client’s best interest to work with a local licensed engineer who understands the region’s soil conditions, drainage patterns, regulatory agencies, and permitting requirements. A local engineer can often navigate site-specific challenges more effectively than someone located halfway across the country. We maintain strong relationships with trusted professionals in the area and bring them in when their expertise is needed.

As our company grows, we plan to expand our in-house capabilities. In the meantime, this approach allows us to deliver cost-effective services while ensuring that every project benefits from the right expertise and local knowledge.

We treat our role as risk control for your timeline and budget. In the first 30 days we set a clear plan and start executing.

  • Kickoff: review plans, permits, and constraints, then build a permit and inspection matrix with owners, due dates, and submittal formats.

  • Baseline field work: pre-construction photo log, drone imagery, wetland boundary confirmation, and erosion control inventory.

  • Compliance plan: SWPPP inspection schedule, post-storm checks after qualifying rainfall, and a site-specific erosion and sediment control checklist.

  • Reporting: time-stamped field reports and progressive photo updates. Most routine reports are delivered within 24 to 48 hours of site work.

  • Coordination: single point of contact for agencies and utilities, with a weekly status email that lists progress, issues, and next steps.

  • Risk alerts: if something threatens schedule or compliance, you get a same-day notice and a corrective action plan.

  • Local expertise: when a stamped plan or survey is required, we engage a trusted local PE or PLS and manage the handoff to keep momentum.

This approach reduces rework, fines, and stop-work orders, and gives lenders and investors the documentation they expect.
